Classification: Thoughts on the latest developments

Description

Classification of goods is constantly changing. For example, in the first three weeks of October there were several important new developments:

  • EU’s position on the UK-EU TCA product-specific rules of origin to be modified from HS 2017 to HS 2022;
  • 74th Session of the WCO HS Committee resulted in 7 amendments to the HS 2022 Explanatory Notes, 21 new Classification Opinions, 18 new classification decisions;
  • EU issued a communication on BTI decisions that shall be revoked because they became incompatible with the interpretation of the customs nomenclature.

How to follow all the changes and ensure you’re classifying your goods correctly? CustomsClear is launching new exciting services to help you stay up to date not only with classification but also with all other areas of customs.
